Dr. Lowery currently serves as the Behavior Support Liaison for the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE). She has 12 years experience as a classroom teacher in both general and special education, 10 years experience as a therapeutic specialist in the hospital setting for patients with mental health difficulties, and 3 years experience as a Response to Intervention coordinator in secondary education.
She has taught at the college and university level as an adjunct professor and has presented at workshops and conferences across the nation. She received her Ph.D. in education from the University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Lowery has been employed with MDE since June of 2015.
